Below are tips for correctly measuring for a framed mirror. The dimensions you determine will automatically include the frame.  If you request a 24"x 36" mirror, that will be the finished size.

If you have an off-center sink but your light is centered over the entire cabinet, center your mirror with the light fixture.

A framed mirror should look like a piece of art hung over your sink.  Rather than having it stretch from edge to edge and sitting on the back splash, leave a two inch border of wall space around the edge of the framed mirror.

If there is an outlet in the way, compensate by coming in an equal distance on the opposite side.  This will keep the mirror centered beneath the light fixture.

A double vanity with two light fixtures gives you the option of having one large mirror or two smaller mirrors.

When measuring for two small mirrors, start by measuring the distance from the counter edge to the center of the faucet.  Subtract two inches and double the remainder.  This will give you the correct width.  Ex:14"-2"=12", 12"x 2"=24"

If you have a double vanity with only one light fixture, a single mirror looks best.

If you have an extra long vanity you may be able to fit 3 mirrors.  Start by measuring the mirrors over each sink and then measure the remaining space for the center mirror.  Be sure to leave at least an inch between the side mirrors and center mirror.  Add 10" to the height of the center mirror to add interest.
